Volunteering could be the answer Volunteering as an Auxiliary member at Enloe Medical Center could be the most rewarding job youve ever had Our volunteers serve patients, visitors and staff, while helping the medical center efficiently and compassionately provide for the healthcare needs of the communities we serve. -Enloe volunteers are people who enjoy helping others. -Volunteers are encouraged to expand their interests and develop new skills. -Age is not a barrier. -Volunteers commit to a minimum of eight hours of service per month. -Schedules vary and can be flexible. -Every volunteer is given appropriate orientation and on-the-job training. -College students interested in the medical field are included in the program. -High school students (15 years of age through graduation) are welcome. Volunteers provide a variety of services at all of Enloes facilities in Chico. Placement depends on the interest and skills of the volunteer and the current needs of the medical center. Opportunities may involve patient interaction, or none at all. Current opportunities include: Gift Shop Information Desk Nursing Unit Support Recovery Room Liaison Childrens Tours Clerical Assistance Cancer Support, Resource Library and Reflections Cancer Care Shop Hospice and Bereavement Fundraising Making handcrafted items
